  • You have received a letter from Transport for NSW. 

  • Your Medical Specialist or your GP has recommended a Driver Trained Occupational Therapist (DTOT or OT).

  • You are a learner driver wanting to access specialised driving lessons.

  • You need a vehicle to be wheelchair-accessible

  • You need vehicle modifications to continue driving safely.

 

A current, valid license or learner's permit is required for an Occupational Therapist Driving Assessment.​​

We are able to provide further information and guidance regarding the driving assessment process.

Our Driving Assessment services are for the following circumstances:

Driver trained Occupational Therapists are qualified to assess all areas of driving. This includes:

  • cognition, memory, judgement

  • reflexes, motor function

  • driving behaviour

  • knowledge of road rules, application of road rules  

  • response times.

Occupational Therapist

Stephen graduated from the University of Newcastle. He has worked with people with a large variety of medical conditions across Occupational Rehabilitation settings including Military, DVA, NDIS and Insurance. Addressing physical/psychological barriers and ensuring a sustainable return to employment or their meaningful activities of daily living. Assessing abilities, modifying homes and workplaces and guiding people to develop their personal skills.
